MŮO
During the Edinburgh Fringe Festival I’ll be staging a run of new live shows, as well as an audiovisual installation. The project is called MŮO and will make use of muon detector technology to harness radiation in the atmosphere and create sound and visuals from it.
‘Join Scottish artist and musician Lomond Campbell for a unique live performance of MŮO, an audiovisual experience powered by the universe itself. Using muon detectors, MŮO captures cosmic radiation from deep space, transforming it into reactive sound and entrancing live visuals. Performing with his one-of-a-kind handmade instrument, the Muonophone, Lomond creates a constantly evolving sonic landscape, joined by special musical guests throughout the festival. Blending art, science and sound in a way you've never seen before, MŮO is a cosmic journey not to be missed.’
This show is being supported by Made In Scotland, The University of Glasgow and Sonica.
I’ll be playing live on 1st, 3rd - 7th, 14th, 19th and 23rd August and I’ve invited some very special musical guests along to join me. More to follow on that. £10 entry - £8 concessions.
MŮO will also exist as an audiovisual installation that will run from 8th - 25th August, 11am - 5pm and will be free entry.
MŮO is taking place at The French Institute in Edinburgh, with the live shows happening in Salle Émillenne Moreau-Evrard theatre and the installation in Salles Pierre Boulez room.
